The commitments of the youth committee were reiterated and new future activities were laid down, namely:
Further to the meeting of ETUF Youth representatives with European Employment and Social Affairs Commissioner Marianne Thyssen, the EFFAT Youth committee called on the Commission to do more to strengthen the Youth Guarantee implementation plan and to increase future funding for the initiative. Therefore, the EFFAT Youth Committee urges EU national governments and the EU Commission to adopt a substantial European investment plan to stimulate aggregate demand and help create quality jobs with programmes aimed specifically at bringing young people in to the labour market.
